PitchBook

1. Open the URL https://my.pitchbook.com. 
2. Click the button "Log in with SSO". 
3. Sign in with your HSG account. 

• Users can download 10 lines of data per day and 25 lines per month. 1 download = 1 row of data on an Excel file.
• Screen capturing, scraping data, using crawlers or other forms of data mining are prohibited. There is nothing we can do to enable more downloads; nor is there a workaround. This restriction is in place for all of PitchBook's academic clients.
• PitchBook is not tolerating the sharing of personal account access data. 
• PitchBook is monitoring personal usage behavior very strictly: If unauthorized use is suspected - whether this concerns attempts at circumventing download limits or sharing personal account access data - PitchBook will permanently block access to the personal account. Furthermore, in the event of repeat offenses, PitchBook can unilaterally terminate access for all members of HSG and claim damages! 

• Try working with the Pivot Table function in PitchBook: downloading 1 Pivot Table equals downloading 1 line of data.

• The use of PitchBook mobile apps is not part of the academic license.

PitchBook is offering an extended – but not unlimited – access for researchers. Eligible are users from level PhD Candidate and upwards. The additional fee would need to be covered through your funding. If you are interested, please contact searchandfind@unisg.ch.

Pleas take note

• This offer is only available from level PhD Candidate and upwards; this is not possible for students on Bachelor or Master Level.
• Fee: the Add On costs USD 2'500 per year; this fee would need to be covered by you.
• This Add On does not give unlimited access to PitchBook: the download cap is 10'000 rows of data per month.

HTTP 400 Status Error

• Clear your browser's cookies and cache, or use a private or incognito window, or try a browser you don't normally use
• If you're still getting the same error or your password isn't being accepted, try resetting your password

"Content Unavailable" or "Upgrade" Error Message

This profile contains third-party licensed data which is not available in your subscription due to market-access restrictions".
