Mai-Thu Perret on "Through the forest of thorns, a single path"

The Swiss artist Mai-Thu Perret has created a 60-metre-long gold-coloured brass chain that meanders fluidly through the geometrically clear building of SQUARE. For the students, perhaps something like a lucky charm on the path to understanding. The chain was made with great care from hammered or cast sheet brass at the Kunstgiesserei Sitterwerk in St.Gallen.

Adrian Kowanz on "www 12.03.1989 06.08.1991" by Brigitte Kowanz

Brigitte Kowanz (1957-2022) called the conceptually and sensually impressive work "a kind of biography of the World Wide Web". The title contains the two dates, as Morse code on the aluminium tape and the neon light tube, on which the WWW was launched at CERN. Her son Adrian Kowanz completed the work after her death.
