Dies academicus

Once a year, our academic celebration day brings together friends and former students of the University with personalities from academia, business and society.

Let's set out to new horizons - on 25 May 2024 we will celebrate Dies academicus. You are cordially invited to join us in celebrating our University's traditional day of honour.

The Dies academicus is an academic ceremony which we jointly celebrate with the faculty members, students and the HSG members. On this day, we award honorary doctorates to academics for their services to the disciplines of economic, legal or social sciences.

HSG personalities of outstanding merit

Furthermore, we appoint personalities who have performed particular services to the University as honorary senators. At the Dies academicus, prizes are also awarded to outstanding young faculty members.
