Cooperations

St. Gallen Collegium

The St. Gallen Collegium will open its doors for the first time in 2025 with the aim of bringing together international fellows to work together at the University of St. Gallen.

The social challenges of our time are characterised by a high degree of complexity. Sustainable solutions can therefore only be found through interdisciplinary collaboration. To this end, the St.Gallen Collegium brings together outstanding academics and up-and-coming, critically-minded young researchers from all over the world, who spend several months each year working intensively on a specific issue.

The theme chosen for 2025 is ‘re-interpreting freedom’. In the coming months, eight personalities from the world of research will be sought who will address the topic in St.Gallen from 2025. The Collegium will advertise the fellowships on the annual theme via various channels and through the networks of all those involved and will review the applications received by autumn so that the Advisory Board can make the final selection.

The advisory board is chaired by Prof Dr Günther Stewens, with Prof Dr Claudia Brühweiler as academic director.

Prof Dr Christine Abbt is a member of the Advisory Board of the  St. Gallen Collegiums as a member of the SHSS.
