The institutes at the HSG ensure that our university remains closely connected to the real world. Through ongoing academic exchange with businesses, our researchers share their academic expertise and, in return, receive practical insights and feedback. This close interaction between research and practice also contributes to the continuous improvement of our teaching, which ultimately benefits our students.
Custom Programmes is the partner for organizations looking to boost their performance through business and leadership transformation. We work together using a “business-first” approach and strive for measurable and scalable results.
We combine Advisory, Capability, and Transformation. This ACT approach empowers our partners to overcome critical challenges while building the capabilities and structures necessary to ensure long-term success.
Our portfolio includes the following solutions, among others:
From A for Axpo to Z for Zurich: Our client list includes leading, well-known companies and organizations.
The HSG offers companies and organizations the opportunity to have a real-world problem addressed by business administration students in the Bachelor’s program. In each case, a group of 3 to 6 students works on the problem under the guidance of a faculty member over the course of a semester. Each student contributes approximately 240 hours of individual work. For the students, working on a real-world problem is highly motivating. As we are repeatedly reminded, this provides our partners from the realm of working life with good and innovative solutions. And best of all: this service is free of charge for companies and organizations. Only any expenses incurred by the students should be reimbursed. Interested? Please contact us.
Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship
In the Master’s in Marketing Management, students work in groups of three to five people on a specific field project over the course of three semesters. In doing so, students deepen their understanding of the course content and academic methods in a problem- and implementation-oriented manner by addressing a real-world practical challenge (potential subject areas include marketing, communication, and services). The intensive collaboration between companies and students over an extended period is highly beneficial for both parties. It is not uncommon for students to subsequently secure employment with the company they have advised.
Executive Director MiMM
At HSG, companies and organizations have the opportunity to incorporate current real-world cases into executive education courses. Participants in our MBA and EMBA programs—experienced professionals and executives—work intensively on their cases in small groups over the course of several days. This provides you with in-depth, multi-perspective analyses and fresh insights. Benefit from the broad subject-matter and methodological expertise that our participants contribute under the guidance of members of the HSG faculty. If you are interested, we would be happy to provide you with further information.
