Assistant Professor Klingler

Désirée Klingler is Assistant Professor of Public Law with a special consideration of Sustainable and Smart City Governance. Her research focuses on legal issues and the economic consequences of public sector regulation with a focus on sustainability, innovation and data analysis. She teaches International Trade Law, European Public Procurement Law and Climate Law & Policy.

Désirée Klingler is co-editor of the European Procurement & Public Private Partnership Law Review and advises the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) on implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals. She has been involved in writing reports for the European Commission and is a TED Ambassador for the European Commission.

Previously, Désirée Klingler practiced law in New York and clerked at the Swiss Federal Administrative Court. She was a lecturer at the University of Hamburg for Competition Law and Economics and a visiting scholar at Yale Law School, U.C. Berkeley Haas Business School and Copenhagen Business School.
