Smart products: Less fascination and more loss of control
73 percent of Swiss people own a smart product such as a vacuum cleaner robot or a smartwatch. However, this is only slightly more than during the survey conducted two years ago (72 percent) for the Smart Products Report by the University of St.Gallen and the University of Lucerne. In fact, the fascination with smart everyday devices decreased compared to the last report. At the same time, more users feel that smart products are taking control of certain activities. Nevertheless, the majority of the population (60 percent) has a positive attitude toward the devices.
