Damian Borth on AI regulation

At the end of March, numerous people from academia and business caused a stir with a call for an AI moratorium. The dangers posed by newer generative AI models are too unpredictable, they said. At present, the USA and the EU are hastily trying to react to the rapid development of the technology with regulations. In an interview, Prof. Dr. Damian Borth from the School of Computer Science at the HSG assesses whether these efforts are heading in the right direction and in which areas he sees the main dangers.
