The Major in International Affairs is aimed at students who have a distinctly international perspective and are characterised by intellectual openness and critical curiosity.

Assuming responsibility for society

Are you prepared to be committed to your studies and to assume responsibility in society, politics and the economy? Our demanding and intensive BIA programme is aimed at students who are interested in

  • the complex, frequently international problems at the crossroads of government, the economy and law which are characteristic of our times;
  • the various academic and social perspectives that have to be taken into account for a solution-oriented analysis of these problems and of conflicting objectives;

  • a degree course that offers numerous opportunities for practical involvement and experience.

Laura Crivelli
 Laura Crivelli was one of three youth delegates to represent Switzerland at the General Assembly of the United Nations. As a “Youth Rep”, she made a speech before the UN Plenary Session and met UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon.

Jacqueline Lehmann
«Later I’d like to work either in an international corporation abroad or perhaps in the diplomatic service. The Bachelor in International Affairs provides me with excellent preparation for starting my professional career. Also, the programme directors support us in our search for international internship places.»
