Major International Affairs (BIA)

The Major in International Affairs addresses the central societal challenges of today's world.

Why Major International Affairs

As an International Affairs programme at a leading European business university, the Bachelor's in International Affairs (BIA) sets out to educate "flexible generalists", who dispose of a broad expertise in international affairs, who can specialize whenever necessary and who can communicate across disciplines. Students gain a basic understanding on the functioning of states and markets as well as their interactions. Students acquire solid foundations in political science, economics, business administration, and legal studies. Our graduates work at the interface of the public and private sectors.

  • In the BIA programme, we are committed to an international perspective and offer our students various opportunities – within compulsory courses or electives, exchange semesters or internships – to gain a broad range of international experience.
  • Our major in International Affairs emphasises the interrelationship between theory and practice. Internships, practice credits and special courses offer numerous opportunities during your studies to acquire professional and practical experience, thus allowing you to create an attractive, personal portfolio.
