With our Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, you can directly enter our Master's program in Computer Science (MCS), pursue another Master's in Computer Science, or enroll in a related Master's program at another university. It is also possible to obtain a second Bachelor's degree at the University of St.Gallen. Depending on your course selection and planning, a second Bachelor's degree can be completed with an additional effort of 3 semesters (instead of 6). A second Bachelor's degree opens up additional study programs, depending on which second Bachelor's you complete. For example, with a Bachelor's in Business Administration, all Master's programs at the School of Management (SoM) are accessible, except for the Master's in Strategy and International Management (SIM) and the Master's in Management, Organization, and Culture (MOK).
*Admission to study programs depends on the offering university.

Generally, the same admission rules apply to all bachelor's programs for the first year. For us, the first year is called the "Assessment Year." Information on admission to the Assessment Year can be found here: Admission to Bachelor's Studies. Make sure to select the correct tabs (distinguishing between Swiss and international qualifications).
If you do not have Swiss citizenship or a C residence permit, you may also be interested in the HSG selection process. This explains in detail what you need to do to participate in the entrance examination. Please note the early deadline for the exam in February.

No, it is only possible to start in the fall semester.
The first year of study (Assessment Year) can only be extended in very few exceptional cases (e.g., for elite athletes or due to family obligations). In all cases, the first year must be completed as a full-time program. However, those who pass the first year have more flexibility and can arrange their studies to fit their needs. The recommendation is to study full-time, but you can also choose fewer courses and create any alternative model that works for you.
