Prof. Dr. Nadja Erk completed her Bachelor of Arts in Law in 2004 and her Master of Arts in Law in 2006 at the University of St.Gallen. In 2007, she was admitted to the bar by the Bar Association of the Canton of St.Gallen. In 2008, she completed an LL.M. in Corporate and Commercial Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). From 2008 to 2015, she worked at the law firm Pestalozzi Rechtsanwälte AG and during this time she commenced her doctorate at the University of St.Gallen, graduating as Dr. iur. HSG in 2013. Since 2016, she has been working at the law firm ADROIT Attorneys. From 2018 to 2022, she wrote on her habilitation at the University of St.Gallen and, upon completion, has been a private lecturer in Commercial Law, Swiss and International Civil Procedure Law, Arbitration and Private International Law.
Prof. Dr. Nadja Erk conducts research in the core area of Swiss and International Civil Procedure Law as well as Arbitration. Current research focuses on considerations regarding the revised provisions of the Swiss Code of Civil Procedure (ZPO) and the procedural requirements (Prozessvoraussetzungen) in Civil Procedure Law and Arbitration Law.
Prof. Dr. Nadja Erk teaches in the area of Civil Procedure Law and Private International Law at the University of St.Gallen at both the Bachelor's and Master's level. In addition, she teaches in the executive education programmes of the International Executive MBA HSG, the WRM-HSG (“Business Law for Managers”) and the CAS Civil Litigation of the IRP-HSG.
