Immerse yourself in a micro-adventure that combines learning about sustainability, collaboration with peers, nature experiences, and cooperation with local stakeholders. In doing so, you will develop the skills you need to contribute to a regenerative future.
To ensure you are well prepared and can approach your adventure with joy and ease, we have put together a packing list (see below) for you.
Tip: If you are missing something on the list, you can likely ask friends or acquaintances to lend you the items you need. One important note: Even though we will be spending one night outdoors, you do not need a tent – please refer to the packing list (see below).
Monday: Arrival, course introduction, group hike with assigned tasks, visit to a farm, fireside chat with a local company
Tuesday: Introduction to key sustainability concepts and frameworks, keynote speech by the city administration, exchange with leaders from the local economy, formation of research teams, on-site visits and team interviews, individual and group reflection and awareness-building
Wednesday: Introduction to sufficiency and circular economy, individual and group activities in nature, cooking and sleeping outdoors
Thursday: Conclusion of the nature experience, further stakeholder interviews, formation of new teams, co-creation of a locally grounded sustainable development initiative with global impact
Friday: Individual and group reflection and awareness-building, closing session, next steps, clean-up
Note: All participants are asked to contribute to cooking and cleaning throughout the week.
