Certificate in Integrative Sustainability Management (SuM-HSG)

Programme

In the SuM-HSG programme, Bachelor students develop the skills to understand sustainability challenges and actively shape them.

Across industries, leaders and managers face growing demands to advance social and environmental sustainability within their organisations while responding to an escalating global crisis—but how can this be achieved? We live in an increasingly complex world. The sustainability challenges we face stem from an interconnected system of stakeholders, structures, and perspectives. How can we develop and drive solutions to today’s and tomorrow’s most pressing challenges in a context of rapid change and uncertainty?

SuM-HSG allows Bachelor students to complement their studies at the University of St.Gallen with a certificate that equips them with the tools and skills to understand and effectively address complex sustainability challenges. Through coursework and applied projects, students gain hands-on experience in decision-making, cross-industry and intergenerational collaboration, and the development of practical interventions.
