The MiMM programme is based on a three-track concept (customer / corporate management / function). The three compulsory courses in the fields of customers (Consumer Behaviour & Methods), corporate management (Marketing Management) and function (Marketing Functions) are preceded by a course of fundamentals (Introduction to Marketing Management) with an integrative study trip. Within the scope of the Applied Research Projects 1 – 3 (compulsory courses), you carry out a three-semester long practice project in close cooperation with businesses and supervised by a teaching staff member. Additionally, several core electives offer a selection of continuously renewed courses that supplement the three tracks and are dedicated to responsible and sustainable behavior in research and practice. These various commitments led to the MiMM being listed as one of the HSG’s sustainability programs.

In its first participation in the QS Business Master's Rankings 2023, the Master in Marketing Management was able to achieve the 15th place globally. In the German-speaking region, the 2nd rank could be achieved. In Switzerland, the MiMM at the HSG is the best-ranked marketing master's program.

Our mission is to continue to offer first-class teaching with the greatest possible practical relevance.

The regular study period of MiMM is 3 semesters. You can always start in the fall semester. HSG Bachelor graduates can also start their studies in the spring semester.

The MiMM-Master has a German and an English track. The two programs have the same structure. The compulsory courses are taught twice, in German and in English. In the compulsory elective track, some courses are offered in German, others in English. Here you are completely free in your choice.

For a MiMM degree with us you need 90 credits.

The compulsory and compulsory elective program (42 ECTS) is based on our innovative 3-track concept. The large number of participating institutes forms the foundation for the excellent cooperation with practice. The numerous application fields and application projects offer you a unique opportunity to gain experience in essential dynamic industries.

Cross-program courses are available for your independent elective (12 ECTS). You can either take additional compulsory elective courses from our MiMM Master, or select courses from other Master programs. You can also choose from special courses offered for the independent elective.

The MiMM Bootcamp includes the first required course "Fundamentals of Marketing Management" (4 ECTS) and combines an integrative learning experience with multiple course formats.

We always try to align these courses with current developments in research and practice, which is why there are always new courses to prepare you in the best possible way for your working life. You can find the course selection in the curriculum or in the course cataloge

Our core studies are complemented by contextual studies (18 ECTS), which provide you with an opportunity to enlarge upon and apply interdisciplinary knowledge, particularly in the field of sociology, psychology, communication and languages. You can also earn a maximum of 6 practice credits through practical work that is closely related to the subject matter of your degree course.

The practice credits are credited to the context study or the independent elective, depending on the context study. A work certificate and a detailed practice report are required for credit.
