Swiss Mobility

Are you interested in spending an exchange semester at another Swiss university? The Swiss Mobility programme makes this possible.

Dear prospective student, on this website you will find information on Swiss Mobility exchange opportunities available at HSG. Please consider this to be a general summary of the information available. Please note that this is a general summary of information that you need to know even before enrolling at HSG, if you are interested in doing an exchange with Swiss Mobility. Detailed information is provided in StudentWeb; you will be able access it as soon as you are enrolled at HSG.

General

  • Swiss Mobility Exchange includes all Swiss Universities except for IHEID, Geneva.
  • The registration process takes place twice a year.
  • A Swiss Mobility exchange is possible from the 2nd semester of the Master's level.
  • In Master programmes a minimum of 60 ECTS must be acquired at the HSG.

General registration prerequisites

Enrolled in a HSG Bachelors or  Master programme at the time of application.

Requirements for beginning the exchange semester

Enrolled in a HSG Master programme.

When applying for Swiss Mobility, you note your preferred host university on the registration form in Mobility-Online. You can find an overview of the Swiss Mobility universities here. When making your exchange university selection, consider the language of instruction, the local language, available fields of study, semester dates, travel advisories, etc.


Please note that this is a general list - detailed information with semester dates, fact sheets and fields of study are available in StudentWeb. Please do not contact Student Mobility Services before you have not checked the detailed information in StudentWeb. You will be granted access to it after having been immatriculated to a HSG Masters programme.
 

Autumn semester: Begin of exchange between 1 July and 31 December is considered as absence in autumn semester
Spring semester: Begin of exchange between 1 January and 30 June is considered as absence in spring semester

A minimum of 16 transferable ECTS course credits must be completed with a positive grade at the host university, otherwise no credits from the exchange term will be
transferred towards the HSG degree.
A maximum of 30 ECTS course-credits (Master thesis excluded) can be credited to the HSG degree per exchange semester at Master’s level.

Tuition fees must be paid at HSG during the semester abroad. HSG students are not required to pay basic tuition fees at the host university but will be responsible for all other costs related to their semester abroad.
