One Semester.
A different Switzerland.

With Swiss Mobility to eleven Partner Universities.

Swiss Mobility

A different university, a different region, a new perspective: Swiss Mobility offers Bachelor’s and Master’s students the opportunity to spend an exchange semester within Switzerland’s diverse university landscape.

Programme Overview

Here you will find the most important information about Swiss Mobility – from the basic requirements and application period to the Swiss partner universities and the general conditions for an exchange semester.

Exchange in Spring semester 2027:

01 July until 8 October 2026, (16.00 St.Gallen)

Applications are only possible within the respective official application period.

Enrolled HSG students can find detailed information on the application process as well as access to the application portal in the StudentWeb

Swiss Mobility enables HSG students to spend one to two semesters per study level at one of eleven Swiss universities.

  • Application: twice a year for an exchange semester through Student Mobility Services.
  • Choice of university: 11 Swiss partner universities are available. Which universities are suitable depends, among other things, on the respective HSG degree programme.
  • Costs: Tuition fees at HSG remain due. As a general rule, no tuition fees are charged at the host university. Students are responsible for travel, accommodation, insurance, meals and other personal expenses.

Detailed information for enrolled students is available in the StudentWeb.

The following basic academic requirements apply for an application to Swiss Mobility:

  • Bachelor’s level: At the time of application, students must be enrolled in an HSG Bachelor’s programme and must have successfully completed the Assessment Year. An exchange is possible from the 4th semester of the Bachelor’s programme at the earliest.
  • Master’s level: At the time of application, students must be enrolled in an HSG Master’s programme and must have successfully completed their Bachelor’s studies. An exchange is generally possible from the 2nd semester of the Master’s programme at the earliest.

Please note: Depending on the degree programme and the individual study situation, additional requirements may apply. In particular, admission conditions or curricular requirements at Master’s level may affect the semester from which an exchange is possible.

Detailed information for enrolled students is available in the StudentWeb.

The Swiss Mobility network comprises 12 Swiss universities. HSG students can spend an exchange semester at 11 other Swiss universities and experience a different academic environment within Switzerland.

Exchange opportunities vary depending on the university and degree programme. Not all partner universities are open to all HSG students. Relevant factors include the HSG degree programme, the available course offerings and university-specific requirements.

For detailed planning, enrolled students can find information on the individual universities, course offerings and semester dates in the StudentWeb.
