Internal Funding

University of St.Gallen

Scientific research at the HSG is promoted by the HSG Research Commission (Forschungskommission, FoKo). It acts as an official body of the University of St. Gallen. An overview of the internal funds can be found on the website of the Research Commission and on the internally accessible Researchweb of the HSG.

Within the framework of the Basic Research Fund (GFF), FoKo supports internal research projects, publication projects and funds research talks and congress contributions as well as the «International Postdoctoral Fellowships»:

  •  The start-up funding supports HSG researchers in preparing project proposals in basic research. Read more on the Researchweb
  • Research projects of HSG researchers are financially supported with project funding. Read more on the Researchweb
  • The «International Postdoctoral Fellowship» (IPF) supports young researchers to pursue postdoctoral research or a habilitation project at the University of St.Gallen. The IPF Fellowship is open to both HSG-internal and external young researchers with a PhD.
  • The University of St.Gallen supports young researchers with the new “Mobility grant for doctoral students of the University of St.Gallen” (Mobi.Doc) who would like to strengthen their academic profile with a research stay aboard.
