Weather radar calibration by means of radar target simulators

Palindrome Remote Sensing GmbH aims to build a low-cost radar target simulator (RTS) to accurately calibrate weather radars. The proposed technique is based on a recently developed prototype and will help to obtain more precise radar-based quantitative precipitation estimates.
