ACM Student Chapter HSG Offers Career Opportunities and Learning Resources

Since its launch in spring 2023, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Student Chapter at the University of St. Gallen has been providing valuable resources and opportunities to students in the Computer Science programme. In its one-year existence, the ACM HSG Club has provided a platform for networking, professional development, and learning opportunities for its members.

One of the main advantages of joining the ACM Student Chapter is the access to networking opportunities. Through regular meetings, workshops, and events, students have the chance to connect with industry professionals and researchers, potentially leading to internships, research opportunities and job placements. The club also maintains a CV-Database and shares job offerings tailored to computer science students.

As an ACM member our students also gain access to a digital library containing research papers, articles, and industry trends. Members can participate in conferences and webinars covering various topics within computer science, helping them stay informed about advancements in the field.

Beyond professional growth, the ACM HSG Club serves as a platform for students to connect with their peers, share experiences, and collaborate on projects. Social events organized by the club facilitate the formation of meaningful relationships and a supportive community among members.

The School of Computer Science is thrilled about the ACM Student Chapter and their contribution to the computer science community at the University of St.Gallen. The opportunities and experiences provided by the ACM HSG Club greatly contribute to the personal and professional development of our students, aligning with our commitment to preparing them for successful careers in the field of computer science.
