The Coaching Programme of the University of St.Gallen is an optional additional service for students in the Assessment Year without any influence on grades. During the intense time of the Assessment Year, the Coaching Programme creates space for students to develop without pressure and reflect on life, studies and career, supported by their personal coach. Additionally, various exclusive seminars support your personal development in relation to the following four interdisciplinary skills:
Possibilities for developing these skills as part of your normal coursework, especially in the large-scale evemts and lectures of the Assessment Year, are limited. Therefore, our Coaching Programme complements the core and contextual studies by focusing on the holistic education of participants' 'young' personalities. Furthermore, the Coaching Programme constitutes an important element in the realization of the vision of the University of St.Gallen - to foster personalities that think integratively and act both entrepreneurially and responsibly.

Please note: If you are looking for study support, please refer to the Assessment Guide Programme offered by the Student Union (SHSG).
The Assessment Guide Programme offers students in the assessment year assistance with problems related to their studies provided by students from higher semesters. In this way, experiences can be exchanged and new friendships can be built. Participants are allocated a person of confidence whom they can ask questions and ask for advice, which makes it easier to start studying at the University of St. Gallen. This includes, for example, assistance with academic papers, exam preparation and finding your way in a new environment. In return, the guides are given an opportunity for personal development, can strengthen their social commitment, make new friends and participate in cool events. Further information can be found under SHSG / Services / Assessment Guide.
