28 January 2010. The financial crisis has shaken the economy, politics and society throughout the world. Government aid packages may have prevented the financial system from collapsing to date, but have also created a heavy burden for the future.

Focus on the perception and confidence
The study conducted by I.VW-HSG and ValueQuest focuses on the Swiss population’s perception of the financial crisis and their confidence in finance companies.

Representative study
The study, which is representative of Switzerland, was carried out from 20-30 July 2009 with 805 interviewees. It reveals that generally speaking, Swiss people feel well informed about the financial market crisis and current events.

A strong feeling of uncertainty emerged even though about half of the population were not affected by direct financial consequences. Older people and people with rather low incomes were particularly concerned.
