24 October 2013. On the occasion of the first Sports Economics Day at the HSG, economists and practitioners will discuss the integrative effects of youth sports. The Sports Economics Day is a public event; admission will be free of charge. Media representatives are welcome; they are requested to register in advance.
From 4.15 to 5.45 p.m., HSG Professor Christina Felfe and Professor Uwe Pühse from the University of Basel will present their research results in the field of “Sports and the development of cognitive and non-cognitive skills in children”.
From 6.15 to 7.30 p.m. Matthias Remund, Director of the Federal Office of Sports, will talk about his practical experience in the world of sports. Jakob Schlichtig will talk about the Amandla EduFootball project. To conclude, the speakers will discuss youth sports.
