23 May 2013. The competition is open to everyone. The prizes will go to the best start-ups in the categories “Internet/Mobile/New Media”, “New Services” and “Products”.
The “Internet/Mobile/New Media” category looks for apps, new digital solutions or new types of entertainment. “New Services” is about services which do not yet exist in this form and which could make work and life substantially easier in the future. Founders with new kinds of products such as 3D-printing products, designs and creative solutions from the DIY movement can participate in the “Products” category.
EUR 10,000 for the winning team
The competition will be conducted in cooperation with leading business incubators and venture capitalists such as hub:raum (Deutsche Telekom), Earlybird, High-Tech Gründerfonds and Bilfinger Venture Capital. The prizes will be awarded to the best three company founders. The winner will receive EUR 10,000, the runner-up EUR 7,000 and the third-best founder EUR 5,000. The three winning teams will in future be able to seek the support of a member of the HSG Alumni Advisory Board and his or her extensive experience and contacts.
Award ceremony in early September

The jury will consist of venture capitalists such as Dr. Christian Nagel of Earlybird and serial entrepreneurs such as Frank Thelen of Doo/6Wunderkinder. The prizes will be awarded on the occasion of the second HSG Alumni Deutschland Konferenz in Mannheim on 5-7 September.
