Prof. Dr. Martin Hilb

4 June 2010. Prof. Dr. Martin Hilb, the founder of the IFPM Center for Corporate Governance at the University of St.Gallen (HSG), has been awarded a gold medal in Corporate Governance by the International Academy of Quality "for exceptional contributions to the principles and practice of quality in governance". After Prof. Ira Millstein, the leading American governance expert of the Yale School of Management in New York, Martin Hilb is only the second academic to receive this worldwide award.

Martin Hilb received the award at the World Conference on Quality in St. Louis (USA) in late May 2010, in which more than 2000 experts from 41 countries participated.

Sustainable governance model
Martin Hilb’s eponymous standard work on New Corporate Governance, which has been published in seven languages, presents a holistic and sustainable model of corporate governance. This innovative approach was published in an abridged version by the World Bank’s Global Governance Forum in Washington in January this year.
