Our curriculum introduces students to the study of media and culture through a variety of approaches. Critical engagement with the aesthetic dynamism of language and narrative, image and object, or performance and perception enables a deeper, more perspicuous understanding of the ways in which social practices are mediated. In fostering students’ capacity for critical insight on the interlinked structures of media, material practice and cultural contexts, the study of media and culture also aims to foster the capacity for engaging in meaningful action within those contexts.
