New Master Specialisation in Strategic Cybersecurity

The School of Computer Science is proud to announce the launch of a new Strategic Cybersecurity specialisation within its Master in Computer Science (MCS) programme. Starting in Autumn 2026, this specialisation combines profound technical expertise with an excellent understanding of the strategic, organisational, and societal implications of cybersecurity.

As organisations face increasing threats in the digital age, there is a great need for professionals who can bridge the gap between technology and business. The Strategic Cybersecurity specialisation will equip students with the skills to design, evaluate, and manage secure systems, while also considering the broader business, legal, and regulatory contexts that are crucial to effective cybersecurity strategy.

The programme draws on the University of St.Gallen’s unique strength in integrating computer science with business topics, providing students with a versatile and highly sought-after educational profile. Graduates will be prepared to take on diverse roles in technical security, strategic cybersecurity management, policy, and research, positioning them to become leaders in the rapidly evolving cybersecurity field.

Prospective students can apply for the Master in Computer Science by 30 April 2025 and will be eligible to enter the new specialisation when it launches in Autumn 2026.
