How Coworking Fosters Co-Learning

The traditional boundaries between work, education, and community are dissolving. Coworking spaces have emerged as vibrant ecosystems where innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning meet and thrive. These spaces are more than just physical locations; they are communities designed to positively impact cities by fostering conducive and connected environments for creativity, productivity, as well as personal and professional growth.

On 7 October, Pauline Roussel, Co-Author of “Around The World in 250 Coworking Spaces” will present, at St. Gallen University (HSG), how coworking spaces are transforming not just the way we work but also, the way we learn. In her keynote, she will share insights from a remarkable four-year journey with her partner, Dimitar Inchev, during which they explored over 500 collaborative workspaces across 64 cities worldwide. Drawing on this experience, she will highlight how these spaces have become catalysts for entrepreneurship, hubs for skill development, and vital communities in an increasingly digital world. Her talk will reveal these environments' transformative impact on individuals and groups, fostering innovation, learning, and a deep sense of belonging.

The keynote is followed by a panel discussion where Pauline Roussel will be joined by Prof. Bernadette Dilger and Prof. Blagoy Blagoev from the HSG.

Bernadette Dilger is Professor of Business Education and Educational Management. She is the Academic Director of the Centre of Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (HDZ-HSG) and was responsible for the didactic concept of SQUARE.
