Sustainability on campus
In 2023, newly installed solar systems almost doubled the amount of solar power produced to 698,744 kWh. This corresponds to the average annual electricity demand of around 200 single-family homes.
150 Master's students have already completed the ‘Managing Climate Solutions’ certificate programme. In 2024, the new certificate programme ‘Integrative Sustainability Management’ will start at Bachelor level.
HSG is part of the Circular Lab. In this lab, 6 universities and 30 companies are researching concepts for the circular economy.
Around 60 plant species grow on the HSG campus. The in-house gardeners emphasise the promotion of biodiversity and native flora. The HSG campus is certified for its nature-orientated design.
