International Recognition for REDEMOS Explainer Video

We are proud to announce that the explainer video developed by the Institute of Political Science (IPW-HSG) in collaboration with Marina Bräm has been awarded Bronze in the category “Education for Social Change” at the prestigious Indigo Design Awards 2024.

The video was created as part of the REDEMOS project, which explores how citizens perceive the EU's role as a promoter of democracy. Since this question is highly subjective and prone to response biases, the project uses Q Methodology—a powerful approach to study subjectivity in a structured way.

To make this methodology accessible, the IPW-HSG team, together with Marina Bräm, designed a short, engaging video to guide survey participants through the Q Methodology process. This video is integrated into the REDEMOS Open Source/Open Access online survey application, developed by the Athens Technology Center.

The recognition by the Indigo Design Awards highlights the importance of innovative educational tools in fostering social change and supporting complex research communication.

We congratulate everyone involved in this project for their creativity and commitment to making political science research more accessible!
