Dear enrolled HSG students

Congratulations on your admission to a Master’s programme - MACFin, MBF, MBI, MCS, MEcon, MGM, MIA, MIL, MiMM, MiQE/F, MLaw, MLE, SIM - at the University of St.Gallen!

We are delighted that you are considering applying for the Best Talents Programme. It aims at attracting and empowering the best and most engaged minds from EU/EFTA countries.The award includes a scholarship covering tuition fees, a contribution towards living expenses, and a range of opportunities for personal development. The University of St. Gallen, with support from our donors, is set to expand to 45 talents per cohort (each autumn).

Important notes before starting

We strongly encourage you to carefully read the "Declaration of Consent, Application Requirements and General Information" document, which outlines the terms of the award, the required documents and enables you to assess whether you meet the required criteria for application. Please note that incomplete applications will be discarded without further notice. We regret that our team is unable to maintain close communication with applicants during the application and selection process.

 

For your preparation, the following documents are mandatory for submitting an application:

  • Positive HSG enrollment letter confirming admission to a Master’s programme in the upcoming autumn semester (no HSG requirements for Bachelor-level classes, except for the Integration Week, which must be successfully completed once on campus)
  • EU/EFTA passport. If you hold a Swiss C-permit, both your permit and your non-EU/EFTA passport are required.
  • Most recent university transcript (GPA), including an estimation of the Swiss-equivalent grade (use the conversion table for grades from other countries. If your country is not listed, select one with a similar grading system and the closest geographical or cultural context). The minimum Swiss-equivalent GPA is 5.30 (unrounded).
  • Résumé (CV)
  • Letter(s) of reference relating to your work and/or internship experience(s) 
  • Letter of recommendation - see the criteria outlined in the "Declaration of Consent, Application Requirements and General Information" document
  • Creative Question : Model Yourself! - see the criteria outlined in the "Declaration of Consent, Application Requirements and General Information" document
  • Project proposal (maximum 800-1000 words, up to two pages) - see the criteria outlined in the "Declaration of Consent, Application Requirements and General Information" document
  • Read the "Declaration of Consent for data processing and data transfer" document
  • Signed "Declaration of Consent, Application Requirements and General Information" document
  • Signed "Declaration of Award" document - required only in the event of a positive award decision
