Skills and Languages (Bachelor's)
In view of the internationalisation of the academic world, growing student mobility and the globalisation of the labour market, the University of St.Gallen is consistently focusing on multilingualism. For this reason, all students at the University of St.Gallen must demonstrate proficiency in at least two foreign languages as part of their academic achievements. The contextual studies programme offers courses in the ‘Skills and Languages’ module and exams in nine foreign languages that can be credited as proof of language proficiency.
Skills (Master's)
Practical skills are an indispensable part of academic education for success in both your studies and your professional life. That is why the contextual studies programme includes a range of skills courses that are consistently geared towards teaching and promoting practical skills. These include courses on digital literacy (learning programming languages, etc.), rhetorical techniques, writing skills, negotiation, time management, methodological basics of research and other practical skills.
