Current information about this agreement

• The nationwide available quota for Gold Open Access in 2026 has been depleted
• For all Gold Open Access articles, accepted for publication in a Wiley Gold Journal (see section «Eligible journals») from now on until 31. December 2026, the publication fees can’t be covered any longer through our agreement
• In such cases, authors will need to find another financial source for covering the associated publication fees
• Articles accepted for publication in a Gold Journal after 1. January 2027 are not affected by this, as in 2027, there will be a new nationwide quota available
• Also not affected are articles accepted for publication in Hybrid journals for the reminder of 2026, publication charges will continue to be covered through our agreement

Requirements for eligibility

• «Corresponding author» is employed by the University of St.Gallen
• Article must have been written in connection with employment / research activity at the University of St.Gallen
• Use your institutional email address
• Upon submission: indicate affiliation with University of St.Gallen
• Persons without an employment contract with the University of St.Gallen are not eligible to participate in the Read-and-Publish Agreements

Article quota

• The number of articles per calendar year for which publication fees are covered is limited
• We will inform you on this page as soon as the annual quota has been reached
• The nationwide quota for articles in Golden Open Access journals has been depleted for 2026. For articles in Gold journals, with acceptance date from now until 31. December 2026, publication fees are no longer covered through our agreement. Affected authors will need to find a different source for financing the publication fees. Articles in Gold journals, accepted for publication after 01. January 2027, are not affected, with the agreement restarting for 2027 with a new quota
• Articles in Hybrid Open Access journals, accepted for publication from now until 31. December 2026, are not affected, as there should be sufficient quota available for articles in Hybrid journals in 2026

Subsequent changes to OA status

• A subsequent change to the decision is not possible

Costs for authors

• Hybrid journals: None, Article Processing Charges (APC) are covered by the agreement; additional services must be financed by the author
• Gold journals: With the nationwide available quota for articles in Gold journals being depleted, the APC must be financed through different sources
