Night of Writing Skills

For students with questions about academic writing, the "Night of Writing Skills" takes place in October. The date and time will follow.

At the "Night of Writing Skills" we offer you:

• Informative and entertaining academic writing slams (venue: central booth outside the library entrance; no registration is needed), for example on the following topics:
  • 5.00 p.m. - 5.15 p.m.: Effective Academic Writing in 11 minutes. Really? Indeed! (English)
  • 5.30 p.m. - 5.45 p.m.: No Rocket Science: Was macht Wissenschaftlichkeit aus? (German)
  • 6.00 p.m. - 6.15 p.m.: Wie benutze ich KI für die Recherche? (German)
  • 6.30 p.m. - 6.45 p.m.: Evaluating the quality of information souces: Which, where and how. (English)
  • 6.45 p.m. - 8.00 p.m.: Q&A session with all speakers
• Search and Find Service in German and English:
  The Search and Find Service team from the library is available to you online and on site from 5 - 8 p.m.
  No registration is needed for the Science Slams and the Search and Find Service.
• Individual consultations in German and English:
  Individual tutoring is available via Zoom or on site at the library from 5 - 8 p.m., 20 minutes per session.
  Get your ticket from the library's circulation desk, beginning of October 2025. Tickets are only available from us and the availability is limited!
  Please prepare your questions in advance and have any passages you wish to discuss ready!
