Certificate programmes

The two certificate programmes, "Managing Climate Solutions" (MaCS) at Master's level and "Integrative Sustainability Management" (SuM) at Bachelor's level, enable our students to develop specialised expertise in the field of sustainability. Beyond that, all regular study programmes integrate aspects of sustainability into their curricula.

Publications

Between 2023 and 2024, researchers at the University of St.Gallen published a total of around 290 peer-reviewed publications on sustainability in renowned scientific journals.

Start-ups

Half of the companies awarded with the HSG Startup Label in 2023 and 2024 focus their business activities on solving sustainability problems.

Solar power

The solar panels on various buildings on the HSG campus generated over 400 megawatt hours of green electricity in 2024. This accounts for around 20% of the total electricity consumption of the HSG campus and corresponds to the annual consumption of almost 135 average two-person households in Switzerland.
