Alexander Schuchter is a governance and risk professional with extensive experience in internal audit, operational risk management, and integrity assurance. He currently leads internal audit activities on operational risks at St. Galler Kantonalbank and advises boards and senior executives through his consulting firm Schuchter Management GmbH. His professional practice focuses on how governance structures, organizational systems, and behavioural dynamics interact in the emergence and management of risk. Since 2010, he has taught at the University of St. Gallen on fraud, risk, and governance, contributing to both executive education and academic programs. His dual role as practitioner and lecturer enables a continuous transfer of insights between research and practice.
