The Methods Jam is an interactive event, designed for junior and senior researchers alike who want to broaden their methodological horizons. Everyone else with an interest in impact research is also welcome.

In a series of short input talks, researchers present non-standard and innovative methods – from experiments and eye-tracking to geospatial data, engaged scholarship, and action research. Each speaker will showcase a concrete project or paper and reflect on:

  • Why they chose this method
  • What kind of data they worked with
  • What worked well—and what didn’t
  • Key challenges and lessons learned

After the inputs, participants can deep-dive in breakout discussions with the speakers, ask practical questions, and explore how these approaches could inspire their own work. The event ends with an Apéro to deepen the discussion and foster informal exchanges.

More information incl. registration link can be found in the attached flyer.

The event is organized by the HSG Impact Scholar Community, our local – and the world’s first – spin-off of the Academy of Management Impact Scholar Community. Currently, the community has around 80 members and regularly organises events that aim to strengthen connections, provide inspirational perspectives, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration beyond academic silos.
