Studying Computer Science at the University of St.Gallen you will gain profound technical knowledge within the field of Computer Science, as well as the competencies and skills needed to set out new technologies and business ideas into the real world. Studying in one of our study programmes you will benefit from small student groups and close interaction with the Computer Science faculty. Due to the recent foundation of the School of Computer Science (SCS-HSG), our study programmes are customized to current expectations and the needs of today’s companies where digitization is playing an important role and will keep reinforcing its importance in the future.

A wide range of events offer you the great opportunity to expand your personal network with the various student communities at the University of St.Gallen. With various social kick-off programmes such as the StartWeek (BCS), Integration Week (MCS), and the Kick-Off Days (DCS) at the beginning of your studies, you will get to know your fellow students as well as the unique campus culture and everything the city of St.Gallen has to offer.

The School of Computer Science is offering both a Bachelor- and a Master in Computer Science. The Bachelor in Computer Science (BCS) was launched in Autumn 2022 and is mainly taught in German, with a few courses offered in English. Graduating from our Bachelor in Computer Science you will hold a Bachelor of Science, B.Sc., degree and you can choose to either pursue a career or to continue studying for your master's degree. Our Master in Computer Science (MCS) is taught in English and is offering a specialization within Data Science or Software and Systems Engineering. The programme was launched in Autumn 2021 and the yearly intake is around 20-25 students.
