On 17 September 2025, we will be offering an overview of various funding opportunities for research projects: from the SNSF, the European programme ‘Horizon Europe’ and Innosuisse. We are offering three information blocks, which you can also attend individually. Participation is free of charge, but the number of places is limited. We therefore kindly ask you to register by email.
Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF): 3:00–3:50 p.m.
The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) promotes research in all scientific disciplines on behalf of the Swiss Confederation and is Switzerland's most important institution for the promotion of scientific research. Dr. Anna-Lena Grauel from the Grants Office St.Gallen will present the most important funding instruments for project and personnel funding offered by the SNSF and will also provide information on opportunities for international cooperation with SNSF funding.

Horizon Europe: 4:00–4:50 p.m.
Horizon Europe is the European framework programme for research and innovation. Petra Hertkorn-Betz, Head of the Euresearch Regional Office for Eastern Switzerland, provides an overview of the work programmes for 2025 to 2027. These cover various areas:
Participants from Switzerland can apply as "beneficiaries" to Horizon Europe from 2025 onwards and will be funded directly by the EU. Further conditions for participation will be explained on site.

Innosuisse / EEN: 5:00–6:30 p.m.
Innosuisse is the Swiss innovation agency. Using a range of instruments, Innosuisse promotes cooperation between the market and science, thereby fostering science-based innovation. Leendert den Haan, Innosuisse mentor, and Prof. Dr. André Bernard, Innosuisse expert, present the instruments offered by Innosuisse – from coaching and Innosuisse checks to innovation and international projects. The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups in establishing cooperation in Europe and other countries, implementing innovation and research projects, and tapping into new markets. The service is available free of charge to all Swiss SMEs, start-ups and research institutions. Ernst-Jan van Hattum, Innovation & Technology Consultant at Enterprise Europe Network, will introduce you to the services offered by the EEN.
