Prof. Dr. Alexander Zimmermann has studied Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen and the Stockholm School of Economics. He holds a PhD and Habilitation from the University of St. Gallen.
Prof. Dr. Alexander Zimmermann began his academic career as a PhD Student and later Assistant Professor at the University of St. Gallen. Afterwards, he became Full Professor and Chair for Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management at the University of Liechtenstein. In 2023, he returned to the University of St. Gallen as Head of University Development. Furthermore, he is a Senior Lecturer and Adjunct Professor of Organizational Development at the School of Management. Besides his roles at the University of St. Gallen, Prof. Zimmermann is a coach and moderator for strategic and organizational processes and a member of the advisory board of an international holding company. Prior to his PhD, Prof. Zimmermann has worked in the management consulting and consumer goods industries and collaborated in two start-ups.
