What’s new in the library?
Information area
Not only the library’s entrace has been moved around, the information area too was rearranged. The circulation desk can now be partitioned off and our reading lounge is getting ist own area.
Replacement of shelves
Our 30 year old shelves had to make space for a new generation – this time on wheels! Around 9000 meters of media had to be moved from the old shelves to their new homes. We also optimised the signage.
New study spaces for PhD and Masters students
The special study places for PhD and Masters students were given a new and unified home on the upper floor. These 40 spaces offer a guaranteed desk in a quiet learning and working environment and come with a personal locker in the library. More on study space.
Plant concept
The Master and PhD study spaces have received a plant concept by Oxygen at Work, a HSG spin-off. The greenery will provide the reading room with an optical refresher and improved air quality. Plants will also complement the library’s information area.
New at HSG library
New acquisitions are now displayed in a compact manner in the reading room. Show location with the Media Scout.
Best-Readers & exhibitions
As before we will display new fiction books in our all new information area. But as our business is not selling you books but lending them to you they will now be called Best-Readers. Together with changing exhibitions our Best-Readers will be displayed in our reading lounge.
Our Media Scout prepares you optimally to navigate the new setting. We are looking forward to your visit.
