HSG Foundation expands Board of Trustees

Starting on 4 March 2024, Dr Claudia Süssmuth Dyckerhoff, Toni Hilti, Dr Sabine Keller-Busse and Adrian Locher will be joining the Board of trustees of the HSG Foundation for the strategic development of the University of St.Gallen (HSG). With their wealth of experience and individual networks, they complement the existing Board of Trustees with their professional and private perspectives. In this way, the HSG Foundation is strengthening its expertise in the key areas of entrepreneurship and talent development.

Thanks to the extraordinary commitment of its donors and partners, the HSG Foundation promotes the sustainable development of excellent research and teaching at the University of St.Gallen (HSG). The Board of trustees lays the strategic foundations for the successful work of the HSG Foundation and supports the acquisition of donations and grants for strategic projects at HSG with its expert knowledge and extensive network. The current President of the University of St.Gallen (HSG), the President of the HSG Alumni Association and a member of the HSG Faculty are ex officio members of the Foundation Board. The election of four additional new members represents an expansion of the Foundation Board.

New members to the Board of Trustees

There are now 13 members on the Board of Trustees. The term of office is set at three years. Re-election is possible. The election committee of the HSG Foundation has elected the following persons, all of whom have completed a degree course at HSG. They are:

Dr Claudia Süssmuth Dyckerhoff was a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company until 2016 – in Switzerland, in the USA and from 2006 to 2022 in Asia. Since then, she has been a member of several boards of directors in predominantly life science-focused companies, including Hoffmann-La Roche, Clariant, Ramsay Health Care and Prudential. After training as a bank clerk at Deutsche Bank AG, she completed her licentiate in St.Gallen and subsequently obtained her doctorate. Dr Süssmuth Dyckerhoff is repeatedly involved in committees for the University of St.Gallen.

Toni Hilti is currently Managing Director Direct Investments at THF AG. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of St.Gallen and an MBA in General Management from Columbia Business School (NY). He is active on the supervisory boards of several start-ups, including FELFEL.

Dr Sabine Keller-Busse has been a member of the Group Executive Board of UBS Group AG since 2016. In 2021, she was appointed President UBS Switzerland and President Personal & Corporate Banking. She completed her Master's degree and doctorate in Economic Sciences at the University of St.Gallen. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Zurich Insurance Group and serves on various boards of trustees.

Adrian Locher is the founder and CEO of Merantix. He is an active investor in over 50 start-ups. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at the University of St.Gallen. He has already been involved with HSG in many ways, for example as a member of the HSG Advisory and as a member of the student initiatives START Global.
