Language models like ChatGPT have surprised many in terms of their language capabilities. According to various tests, today's AI models are already superior to humans in the use of language. But does this also mean that they really understand language? Dr. Reto Gubelmann from the School of Computer Science at the HSG has investigated this question in a paper.
