We cordially invite you to the new research seminar "Quantitative Methods and Learning” organised by the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics (Lyudmila Grigoryeva) and the Swiss Institute for Empirical Economic Research (Tobias Sutter). This seminar is a platform for disseminating and exploring cutting-edge research in statistics, econometrics, statistical learning, and machine learning. With a primary focus on fostering academic exchange and excellence, the seminar seeks to establish a stimulating environment where scholars, practitioners, and students can contribute to advancing quantitative methods.
The scope of this research seminar encompasses a wide range of topics pertaining to quantitative analysis and learning techniques and focuses on methodological developments in advanced statistical modeling, econometric theory, machine learning, and their practical applications.
