
Aikido is a modern Japanese martial art rooted in the Budo techniques of the Samurai. It promotes mental and physical fitness and teaches techniques that integrate body alignment with leverage and throwing principles to redirect attacks and destabilise the opponent.

Krav Maga is a modern and highly effective self-defence system. It is based on clear principles and relies on a small number of techniques that are easy to learn. The system enables efficient and practical defence in everyday situations.

The D licence entitles holders to operate sailing yachts with more than 15 m² of sail area (12 m² on Lake Constance) on inland waters in Switzerland and Europe. Training for the D licence typically requires around 25 hours (with two participants per boat), although the number of hours may vary depending on prior experience and individual skill. Lessons can be taken intensively (in dedicated training weeks or additional sessions) or spread over several weeks. The course is offered from April to September.

Remarks
Depending on wind conditions, lessons may be rescheduled. With 1–2 sessions of 2–3 hours per week, the course lasts around two months. Group registrations are possible.
An information event on the D licence / Lake Constance boating licence takes place at HSG each March.
