4 April 2011. The new HSGBlatt, the newspaper by and about the University of St.Gallen, is focusing on the democratic upheavals in the Arab world. Besides Daniele Caramani’s essay, the economist Prof. Dr. Uwe Sunde talks about issues such as the nexus between democracy and economic prosperity in the interview.
One article addresses the topic of how Responsible Corporate Competitiveness (RoCC) makes use of the new online platform RoCC Management Insights to enter into a dialogue with the general public. A text on “Low-risk energy for the future” elucidates scenarios for a sustainable energy supply – at least since the disaster in Japan a highly controversial issue.
New School of Finance
At the beginning of this year, the previous four Departments of the HSG were transformed into the five new Schools. In the current HSGBlatt, the School of Finance is the first of them to be portrayed, while Prof. Dr. Miriam Meckel’s blog is presented under the heading of “News from the social networks”.
