25 April 2013. On 2 and 3 May 2013, the 43rd St. Gallen Symposium will unite students and decision-makers from trade and industry, politics, society and academia on the campus of the University of St.Gallen. The St. Gallen Symposium cordially invites residents and HSG members to attend public lectures in the University Library. In addition, the plenary sessions will be televised live in the Audimax of the University. In the net, they can be viewed through the live stream at www.symposium.org/livestream.

Public discussions in the HSG Library
Michael C. Woodford will speak on “The first CEO in history to become a whistleblower and report on his own company”. His lecture will take place on Thursday, 2 May 2013, from 1.30-3.00 p.m.
Marcus Wallenberg and Lord Griffiths of Fforestfach will discuss “The cultural challenges of capitalism” on Thursday, 12 May 2013, from 3.45-5.15 p.m. “Focus Indonesia” will be the topic of a panel discussion with Chatib Basri, Sofjan Wanandi Gita Wirjawan and Al Jazeera Reporter Riz Kahn on Friday, 3 May 2013, from 10.45 a.m. to 12.45 p.m. in the University Library.
Coverage of the plenary sessions
The plenary sessions of the 43rd St. Gallen Symposium will be televised live in the Audimax of the University of St.Gallen on Thursday, 2 May 2013, from 8.00-10.00 a.m. and from 8.00-10.00 p.m., as well as on Friday, 3 May 2013, from 10.00 a.m. to 8. p.m.
Participants in the discussions will include Dr. Josef Ackermann (Switzerland), Chairman of the Zurich Insurance Group, Ali Babacan, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey, Sergio P. Ermotti (Switzerland), Group Chief Executive Officer of UBS, Douglas J. Flint (UK), Group Chairman of HSBC Holdings, and Christine Lagarde (France), Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund.
