21 February 2011. The lecture series will start on Wednesday, 2 March 2011, and will take place at 6.15 p.m. Listeners are kindly requested to use the entrance on the south side of the Main Post Office Building (St.Leonhard-Strasse 40) and then take the lift to the 3rd floor.
Literary-musical collages
Improvisation is a key to the readings by four Swiss authors accompanied by Rudolf Lutz at the piano. The text/sound project will have the character of an experiment when the room on the third floor of the Main Post Office Building in St.Gallen’s city centre becomes a laboratory.
For the first time, the HSG will attempt to bring this hall, which has so far been unknown to the general public, to cultural life with these literary-musical collages. The musician Rudolf Lutz will first work on aspects of improvisation with the audience and then use the result as a basis on which to lay a simultaneous or consecutive soundtrack to accompany the reading.
Word art and keyboard music
The two poets Felix Philipp Ingold (9 March) and Werner Lutz (30 March,) as well as the novelist DorotheeElmiger (23 March) and the playwright and spoken-word author Guy Krneta (2 March) are eagerly embarking on this special dialogue between word art and keyboard music.
