Campus - 11.05.2018 - 00:00
11 May 2018. With the Visitors' Corner, the University of St.Gallen has created a new meeting point in the Main Building. Facts and figures provide visitors with an overview of the University and its regional impact, as well as an insight into current projects ranging from the Joint Medical Master to the extension of the campus.
Milestones in the history of the University
A timeline based on the terms of office of individual Presidents reveals the major milestones in the history of the University. In addition, several panels recount the history of the Förderer building of 1963. A campus model and the winning project of the HSG Learning Centre put the finishing touches to the topic of construction.
A place of science, society and culture
Visualise the University as a place of science, society and culture with the help of its video portfolio that ranges from historical films to the image film and animated research clips such as the Little Green Bags and numerous interviews with experts. A large touchscreen is scheduled to provide a deeper insight into the HSG’s world with selected websites from mid-April 2018.
Invitation to guests from the city and the region
"The creation of our Visitors’ Corner is also, and particularly, an invitation to our guests from the city and the region to discover and use the HSG as a public space – as a place for encounters, conversations, and transparent and hopefully also exciting information," says Ulrike Landfester, Vice-President for External Relations.
The Visitors’ Corner is intended to be a permanent public exhibition and also serve as a starting point for guests or guided tours for visitors. Temporary exhibitions are planned about historical topics, in particular.
