HSG FOCUS will evolve into a knowledge and community platform

Those interested in HSG and the questions shaping our world will find HSG FOCUS to be a contemporary digital platform brimming with background articles, knowledge, and opportunities to join the discussion. This is a fresh and logical extension of the university magazine concept, because curiosity and thinking never stand still. Knowledge wants to move forward… and that is why HSG FOCUS does not stand still either. Unlike traditional university magazines, each issue will continue to grow from the moment it is published.
Based on an over-arching theme – like the first issue, “Crisis of the West”, each issue starts with a series of substantial articles written by and with HSG researchers. The authors also supplement their articles with valuable media tips. These tips will provide additional context and allow readers to delve even deeper into the topic. The platform is multimedia, of course and each issue of HSG FOCUS will offer text, images, video, and audio. Readers who are logged-in can comment on the articles. Questions and debate are welcome.

In addition, links to HSG-related topics from other top universities, think tanks, media, and knowledge platforms are curated and will be updated several times a week and can be found in the magazine's feed section. User comments are also included. HSG FOCUS is updated every time users return to the platform. There is always something new to discover. FOCUS is constantly being refined.

Whether it's the clear, uncluttered layout, the short summaries preceding each article, or the text-to-speech function: the new HSG FOCUS is designed to be user-friendly and accessible on a smartphone, tablet, or desktop.

Four issues are initially planned per year. This means that four major topics will be set that go beyond the daily news. New content will continuously be published and added. They will explain the topics and drive discussions. HSG FOCUS aims to become a community platform for anyone interested in the HSG perspective on the state of the world.
